Aquí os adjuntamos la nota de prensa:
An imposing building showered in white light, destined to become the entrance of the Polycentric (multi-focal) Museum of Aigai, hosted the scientific meeting day entitled «Designing the development: archaeological works and society» organised by the Ephorate of Antiquities of Imathia in order to present the projects financed by the National Strategic Reference Framework, those implemented, those under completion and those foreseen for the future, but also in order to initiate a public debate on how rchaeological projects are designed, matured, implemented and eventually attributed to society.
The importance of archaeological projects implemented under the NSRF for development, not only as a procedure offering work and service fees to a large number of scientists and professionals, but also as a result with important social and financial benefits, was underlined by elected representatives at national, regional and local level as well as by corporate staff of the competent Management Authorities.

The meeting included presentations of projects which serve as best practices and benchmarks from the Ephorate of Antiquities of Imathia and other services of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports, whereas suggestions came up for the ever – ongoing amelioration of management practices and administrative procedures for the facilitation of future projects.
At the same time, the meeting was where the newly founded Association of Friends of the Polycentric (multi-focal) museum of Aigai and its network was publicly presented for the firts time, aiming to contribute to meeting the goals of the Museum, which has now been enriched with a new building (also the fruit of NSRF) which will offer to Aigai all the necessary spaces for museum operations and services, including among others educational programmes, additional exhibition spaces and events.

A common goal of those engaged in the archaeological projects’ strategic planning, management and implementation is their contribution to the long-term development of the area where they take place and to the education and recreation of the public, in order for the result to benefit citizens not only at local but also at national, european and international levels.
